Went skydiving in Hawaii? How to tag an adventure to where you did it
Most stamps live in one place. The Eiffel Tower is in Paris. Wrigley Field is in Chicago. You check in, and the stamp knows where you were.
Some of the best things you've done aren't like that. You can go skydiving in a lot of places. You can see the Northern Lights from Alaska, Canada, Iceland or Norway. You can scuba dive just about anywhere there's water worth looking at.
That's what Adventures are for.
What an Adventure is
Adventures are their own collection in Pond Passport: the experiences you can do anywhere. Skydiving, scuba diving, whale watching, a hot air balloon ride, dog sledding, the Northern Lights.

Because an Adventure isn't tied to one place, it doesn't collect a place when you check in. Instead, you tell it where you did it.
How to tag an Adventure to a place
Open the Adventure's stamp. Below the note, there's a section called "Where you did this." If you haven't tagged anywhere yet, it asks, "Where did you do this?"
Tap "Add a location" and pick the city, US state or country where you did it. That's the tag.
A few things worth knowing:
- You can tag more than one place. Went diving in Mexico and Australia? Tag both. An Adventure holds up to ten locations.
- You don't have to check in first. The section is there whether or not you've collected the stamp. Tag first, check in later, or the other way around.
- A tag doesn't collect the place. Tagging skydiving to Hawaii doesn't add Hawaii to your Passport or your map. You collect Hawaii the usual way, with a moment there.
- You can take one off. Each tagged location has a "Remove location" option.
To collect the Adventure itself, use the button at the top of the stamp. For most Adventures it says "I did this." For the Northern Lights it says "I witnessed this."
The first one I'd tag is dog sledding. I went in Ely, Minnesota, with a group of girlfriends, so I'd tag it to Minnesota. It was incredible, and I highly recommend it.

I've also been hang gliding in Lauterbrunnen. That's an Adventure stamp too, and I'd tag it to Lauterbrunnen.

Where your tags show up
Here's the part that makes it fun! Once you tag an Adventure to a place, open that place's stamp and you'll find an "Adventures here" section listing everything you've tagged there.
It also rolls up. Tag skiing to Denver and it shows up on the Denver stamp, the Colorado stamp and the United States stamp, so a state or a country shows everything you've done anywhere inside it. Continents are the one exception.
Hiking is an Adventure as well. I'd tag my hike over the Salkantay pass to Peru, and it would show up on the Peru stamp.

If a place has both Adventures and other tagged stamps, like a golf championship that moves around, the section is called "Also here" instead.
Some only happen in a few places
A few Adventures only happen in a handful of spots. Bioluminescent bays glow in Puerto Rico, Jamaica and a few other places. The synchronous fireflies light up the Great Smoky Mountains and a few other forests for a couple of weeks a year. They work like every other Adventure: tag the one you saw to where you saw it.

Keep track of them all
Adventures make the best Bucket List. Save the ones you want, and when you finally do one and check in, the stamp moves into your collection on its own. A hot air balloon ride and whale watching are still on mine.
Safari is one I've done. I went in the Serengeti, so I'd tag it to Tanzania.

Each Adventure also keeps the people who were with you, which is half the story of most of these. Nobody does these alone, and you'll want to remember who talked you into it.
If you're planning one, the place guides are a good place to look for where to do it. Alaska is a classic for the Northern Lights. Colorado is ski country. Australia has the Great Barrier Reef.
