Cookie Policy

YourPond from LilyPadLabs · Effective March 7, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site operators. Cookies may be “session” cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (remaining on your device for a set period or until you delete them).

2. How We Use Cookies

YourPond uses a minimal number of cookies, all of which are necessary for the Service to function. We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or profiling purposes.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies. These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to operate. They include:

  • Authentication cookies — Set by Clerk to maintain your login session and verify your identity across requests. Without these cookies, you would need to log in on every page.
  • Session cookies — Used to maintain state during your browsing session, such as remembering your current page and form inputs.
  • Security cookies — Used to prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and other security threats.

Analytics Cookies. We use Vercel Analytics, which collects anonymized, aggregated usage data. Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused and does not use cookies for cross-site tracking. The data collected includes:

  • Page views and navigation patterns
  • Browser and device type
  • Geographic region (country-level only)

This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

4. Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services may set cookies when you use YourPond:

  • Clerk — Authentication cookies to manage your login session
  • Vercel — Minimal analytics cookies for anonymized usage data

We do not allow any advertising networks, social media trackers, or data brokers to set cookies on YourPond.

5. Session Storage and Local Storage

In addition to cookies, YourPond uses browser session storage to maintain temporary state during your visit. This includes:

  • Terms acceptance status
  • Onboarding completion status

Session storage is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not use local storage for persistent tracking.

6. Managing Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • View what cookies are stored on your device
  • Delete some or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites or all sites
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set

Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent YourPond from functioning properly. You will not be able to log in or use the Service without authentication cookies.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to the types of cookies we use, we will notify you by updating this page and the effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Contact
