Terms of Service
YourPond from LilyPadLabs LLC · Effective April 2026
Welcome to YourPond. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of YourPond, operated by LilyPadLabs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using YourPond, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use YourPond.
1. What YourPond Is
YourPond is a personal relationship management tool. It allows you to organize information about the people in your life — their locations, jobs, relationships, and your connection to them. YourPond is not a sales CRM, marketing automation tool, or AI communication assistant. YourPond organizes your data. It does not send messages, draft emails, or automate outreach on your behalf.
YourPond is available as a web application at yourpond.io and as a native iOS app distributed through the Apple App Store.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use YourPond. By using YourPond, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If we learn that a user is under 16, we will terminate their account and delete their data.
3. Your Account
You create an account using Clerk, which supports sign-in with Google or email. Your account works across both the YourPond web application and the iOS app. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@yourpond.io if you believe your account has been compromised.
Each account is for a single individual. You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.
4. Free and Paid Plans
YourPond offers a free tier and a paid tier (YourPond Pro). The free tier allows up to 25 contacts. YourPond Pro provides unlimited contacts and access to additional features. A full comparison of features available in each tier is available on our website at yourpond.io.
Web Billing (Stripe)
When you subscribe to YourPond Pro through the web application, payment is processed through Stripe. YourPond Pro is available as an annual subscription ($120/year) or a monthly subscription ($15/month). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file at the beginning of each billing period.
iOS Billing (Apple In-App Purchase)
When you subscribe to YourPond Pro through the iOS app, payment is processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. The same pricing applies: $120/year for an annual subscription or $15/month for a monthly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. All iOS billing is subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Subscribing on either platform grants you cross-platform access to YourPond Pro on both web and iOS.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (annually or monthly) unless you cancel before the renewal date. For web subscriptions, you can cancel at any time from your account settings on yourpond.io. For iOS subscriptions, you can cancel at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Pro features until then.
Refund Policy
For web subscriptions (Stripe): Annual subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of purchase or renewal. Monthly subscriptions are not eligible for refunds. To request a refund, contact us at hello@yourpond.io. Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
For iOS subscriptions (Apple): All refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple. LilyPadLabs LLC cannot process refunds for purchases made through the App Store. Visit Apple's support page or use the “Report a Problem” feature to request a refund from Apple.
5. Downgrade and Cancellation
If you cancel your Pro subscription or it expires:
- All your data is retained — nothing is deleted
- Contacts beyond the 25-contact free tier limit become read-only (viewable but not editable)
- Pro-only features become inaccessible
You can re-subscribe at any time and immediately regain full access to all your data and Pro features.
6. Your Data and Content
Ownership
You own the data you enter into YourPond. We do not claim ownership of your contacts, notes, relationships, or any other content you create. We do not use your data to train AI models, sell to advertisers, or share with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
License to Operate
By using YourPond, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the YourPond service to you. This license ends when you delete your data or your account.
Data About Other People
YourPond allows you to store information about other people — people who have not created YourPond accounts and have not consented to having their information stored. You are the data controller for any personal data about other people that you enter into YourPond. LilyPadLabs LLC is the data processor, acting only on your instructions to store and display that data. By storing information about other people in YourPond, you represent and warrant that:
- You have a legitimate personal or household purpose for storing their information
- You will not use YourPond to store information about others for commercial purposes, surveillance, harassment, or any unlawful purpose
- You will comply with all applicable data protection laws regarding the personal data you store
- You will promptly delete or correct information about any person who requests it
- You accept full responsibility for the data you choose to store about other people
No Third-Party Beneficiary Rights
People whose information you store in YourPond are not parties to these Terms and do not acquire any rights under these Terms. These Terms create no third-party beneficiary rights.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account and all associated data from your account settings within the app, or by emailing hello@yourpond.io. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from the production database immediately. Your data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days, after which it is permanently destroyed.
Data Export
Pro subscribers can export their contact data in CSV format at any time from within the app.
Data Backups
We maintain regular backups of your data as part of our standard infrastructure operations. Backups are used solely for disaster recovery and service continuity.
7. AI-Assisted Features
YourPond offers optional AI-assisted features, including natural language contact entry, which uses Anthropic's Claude API to parse free-text descriptions into structured contact data. When you use these features:
- Your text is sent to Anthropic's API for processing
- Anthropic does not use API data to train its models
- The text is processed and discarded — Anthropic does not retain your data
- No contacts are created without your explicit review and approval
AI-assisted features are tools for data entry only. YourPond does not use AI to draft messages, suggest outreach, or automate communication on your behalf.
8. Email Account Integration
YourPond allows you to optionally connect your Gmail or Outlook account to import contacts. When you connect an email account:
- We access your email account's contact data (names, email addresses) with your explicit authorization via Google or Microsoft's OAuth flow
- We do not read, access, or store the content of your emails
- You may disconnect your email account at any time from your account settings
- Imported contacts are stored in your YourPond account and treated the same as manually entered contacts
You are responsible for having appropriate access to any email accounts you connect. Connecting an account constitutes your authorization for YourPond to access the permitted contact data.
9. Device Contact Import (iOS)
The YourPond iOS app allows you to import contacts from your device's address book. This feature requires your explicit permission via the iOS Contacts permission prompt. When you use device contact import:
- YourPond reads your device contacts only after you grant permission
- Imported contact data (names, phone numbers, email addresses) is sent to YourPond's servers and stored in your account
- You may revoke contact access at any time through your device's Settings app
- Imported contacts are treated the same as manually entered contacts
You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authority to import and store the contact information from your device.
10. Push Notifications (iOS)
The YourPond iOS app may send push notifications with your explicit permission. Notification types include:
- Birthday reminders for your contacts
- Suggestions for reaching out to contacts you haven't connected with recently
- Reminders you have set for specific contacts or tasks
- Weekly or monthly relationship digests
- Important product updates and announcements
Push notifications require your explicit permission via the iOS notification prompt. You may disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings app or within the YourPond app settings.
11. Acceptable Use
Your use of YourPond is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Violating the Acceptable Use Policy may result in account suspension or termination.
You may not make automated requests to YourPond, including but not limited to scraping, crawling, or using bots to interact with the service. YourPond is designed for manual, individual use.
12. Communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails from us (account confirmation, billing receipts, subscription changes, security alerts). We may also send periodic product update emails. You can opt out of non-transactional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. You cannot opt out of transactional emails while your account is active.
13. Platform Compatibility
The YourPond web application is designed for use on modern desktop web browsers, including the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. The YourPond iOS app requires iOS 17.0 or later. We do not guarantee compatibility with older browsers, older iOS versions, or other software. While YourPond may work in unsupported environments, we cannot ensure a consistent experience outside of supported platforms.
14. Apple App Store
Your download and use of the YourPond iOS application is additionally governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ (“Apple EULA”). The Apple EULA applies to the iOS app binary as a software license between you and Apple. To the extent of any conflict between these Terms and the Apple EULA with respect to the iOS app binary, the Apple EULA controls. These Terms continue to govern your YourPond account, subscription, and the underlying service regardless of the platform you use to access it.
If you download or use the YourPond iOS app from the Apple App Store, you further acknowledge and agree to the following:
- These Terms are between you and LilyPadLabs LLC, not Apple Inc. LilyPadLabs LLC is solely responsible for YourPond and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for YourPond. LilyPadLabs LLC is responsible for any product support.
- In the event of any failure of YourPond to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to YourPond.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to YourPond, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to your use of the iOS app, and Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
15. Intellectual Property
YourPond, including its design, code, brand, color palette, network visualization, and all associated materials, is the intellectual property of LilyPadLabs LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on YourPond without our written permission.
The YourPond name, LilyPadLabs name, and associated logos are trademarks of LilyPadLabs LLC. You may not use them without our written permission.
16. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may introduce new features, modify existing features, or change how YourPond collects, uses, or processes data. When we make changes that materially affect your rights or how your data is handled, we will update these Terms and/or our Privacy Policy and notify you via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
Continued use of YourPond after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may stop using YourPond and request deletion of your account.
17. Availability
We aim to keep YourPond available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the entire service at any time. If we discontinue the paid web service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and a pro-rated refund for any unused portion of an annual subscription. For the iOS app, availability is additionally subject to Apple's App Store policies and distribution requirements.
18. Disclaimers
YourPond is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that YourPond will be error-free, secure, or available at all times. We do not warrant the accuracy of any data you import or enter — you are responsible for the accuracy of your own data. We do not review, verify, or endorse any user data stored in YourPond. LilyPadLabs LLC will have no responsibility for any harm to your computer system, mobile device, loss or corruption of data, or other harm that results from your access to or use of YourPond.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LilyPadLabs LLC's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to YourPond is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $120, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your reliance on YourPond.
LilyPadLabs LLC has no liability for any claims, damages, or disputes arising from the contact data you choose to store about other people in YourPond. You are solely responsible for the personal data you enter about others.
20. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LilyPadLabs LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of YourPond
- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
- Your violation of any third party's rights
- The personal data you store about other people in YourPond
- Any content or data you submit, post, or transmit through YourPond
This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.
21. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of YourPond will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at hello@yourpond.io and attempt to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days.
22. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. Upon termination, your right to use YourPond ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days of account closure, except as required by law or as described in our data backup practices.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except where immediate action is necessary to prevent harm or comply with legal obligations.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
24. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LilyPadLabs LLC regarding YourPond. These Terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
