We added badges. Now go outside and earn them.

Here's a thing I believe: we've all gotten a little too good at staying inside.

We keep up with people through a screen. We "like" instead of visit. And somehow the actual pond, the real people in real places, gets quieter. So we built something to pull you back out into it.

YourPond has badges now, and they're not the boring kind. You earn them by actually living your life.

Add the people you meet. Share your LilyPad with someone new and watch them claim it. Save a place you've actually been.

Every badge is a little nudge to go do the real-world thing instead of scrolling past it.

There's already a whole set to chase - First Person, 50 People, First Place, 25 Places, your first shared LilyPad, and a bunch more across people, places, photos, moments, and relationships. Some you'll see coming, and some are mysteries you unlock by doing something we're not going to tell you about. This is just the start - a lot more are on the way as YourPond grows.

So here's my challenge: collect them all! Then screenshot your badges and post them - yes, on the very social media we're all trying to spend less time on. Show off what you've collected and dare a friend to catch up!

The badges are the fun part. The real win is that you got out and did the thing. Go meet someone new, go somewhere you've never been, and remember the pond is a lot more fun out there than in here.
